Our Goal, Mission and Vision

DRAFT - TENTATIVE

Goals

To establish a native prairie garden system throughout all of DuPont, Washington on city owned and residential properties to replace current blade grass requirements that require constant maintenance, chemical fertilizer and mowing.  Reselling of seeds to residents (and beyond) for use on tree laws is an option.

There will be no cost to the city and no staff time will be utilized; the project is for and by the citizens of DuPont, Washington.

Establish a city-wide Prairie Appreciation Day.

Mission

To become the South Puget Sound's showcase of native prairie restoration and enhancement


Vision

We see this as an environmental education and beautification program involving the entire community (and beyond!) that could help with storm water and invasive species management while fostering a united DuPont.
